Sunday Night Quickie

After checking into the Holiday Inn in San Jose, I made quick work of finding the downtown area of the city. I found a parking spot (where they won't charge me $75), and started hiking all over, with no particular place to go.

I wandered down one side, that ended up with no results I was interested in. Heading back to the west (I think), I found some hits. First off, Tom Green was playing at the Improv. That was a thought for some Sunday night entertainment.

Walking past a drinking establishment called, Dive Bar, I peered in and it looked like it had good potential. I walked a few more blocks, and found a sports bar. With Game 2 of the NBA Finals, it was pretty packed. I walked back to Dive Bar, and stepped inside.

I mosied up to the bar and ordered a Bud Light, which was only $2, in a bottle. Cheaper than the midwest! My bartender was very friendly and actually said she had a grandfather that lived in Decatur.

A very nice looking girl sat down a few stools next to me, and eventually came over and sat next to me. Her name was Destiny, and worked downtown in the cosmetics industry. We ended up talking for several hours. Afterwards, I walked back to my car, but made a stop at the Pita Pit and ordered a Philly Steak. It was delicious!

More on San Jose to come. I am doing too much to write an in-depth blog, lately!
